Sony Removes the World’s Fastest Platinum Trophy Game From the PlayStation Store

Released earlier this week in North America for PlayStation 4 at $0.98 USD, ★★★★★ 1000 Top Rated, which promises the world’s fastest Platinum Trophy unlock, has been removed from the PlayStation Store by Sony.

It isn’t due to quality concerns though, but rather the fact that the PlayStation Store’s description and above trailer heavily promote the easy Platinum Trophy unlock, the developer revealed on Facebook:

Hi everyone, Sony has pulled the game temporarily and asked me to change the game’s name & not mention trophies in the Store trailer. I am happy to comply!

I don’t know when it will be released again, but I’ll update this page as soon as I know.

While the official description says it will take an hour to get the Platinum, the trailer adds, “Some humans can do it in 20 minutes. They are superheroes… Also, some humans take longer than an hour.” They then point you to their website, which takes you to their Facebook page, which lets you watch a walkthrough video by liking their page.

Despite being removed from the PlayStation Store, Exophase has already tracked 474 players, putting it in line with Star Trek: Bridge Crew and Dungeon Defenders II.

Do you think Sony should have checked the description and trailer before publishing it on the PlayStation Store?
