Little Nightmares DLC

Little Nightmares’ The Depths DLC Out Today, Watch the Trailer

The first DLC pack for Tarsier Studios’ horror platformer Little Nightmares is now available on the PlayStation Store. Called The Depths, the DLC will star a new protagonist called the “Runaway Kid.” Players will have to lead the character through a water-based area by solving puzzles that block his way. The Depths is the first part of the game’s Secret of the Maw expansion, which costs $9.99.

Here’s the full description of the Little Nightmares DLC pack:

In the first chapter of this escape story taking place in parallel to Six’s, another prisoner of the Maw known as The Runaway Kid will explore the decayed and flooded basement of this sinister place. In order to survive, The Kid will have to solve water-based puzzles and swim through the treacherous waters while avoiding the grasp of The Granny – the abandoned monster living in this murky place.

In PlayStation LifeStyle’s review of Little Nightmares, reviewer Martin Patiño said that Tarsier Studios’ horror platformer was “an entrancing yet brief journey that even those averse to horror can enjoy.” It ended up receiving a 9/10, and earned the distinction of getting an Editor’s Choice award.

Little Nightmares is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is available digitally and physically, with the physical edition including the Secrets of the Maw expansion. Developer Tarsier Studios previously worked on the LittleBigPlanet franchise, as they developed the PlayStation Vita installment. Little Nightmares was their first original game, and their second original title, a puzzle game called Statik, is in development for PlayStation VR.
