Now available to pre-order through the North American PlayStation Store, Patapon Remastered is releasing on August 1 for PlayStation 4, priced at $14.99 USD, Sony announced today.
By pre-ordering Patapon Remastered, you’ll receive these PS4 Avatars: Kibapon, Tatepon, Warrior, Yaripon, and Yumipon. Additionally, any PlayStation Plus member who pre-orders will save 20% off the regular price.
Patapon Remastered will unlock at 8am PT/11am ET on Tuesday, August 1.
Taking full advantage of the PS4 and PS4 Pro, here’s the description for Patapon Remastered:
Patapon is a rhythm-based 2D platform/action game marching to PlayStation 4 with revitalized graphics output in 1080p and 4K resolution on compatible displays.
For years the Patapon tribe has lived in the desolate frontier, driven from their home by the evil Zigoton army. Behind the Patapons’ cute exterior, lies a fierce warrior spirit that can only be commanded by the beat of their God’s war drum. They wait for the day that the ‘Almighty’ will return, to lead them against their enemies and bring them back to their homeland. Finally, their wait has come to an end as the drums of war are heard once again.
Sony also put up a product page for LocoRoco 2 Remastered, revealing that it will be out in 2017 for PS4. It will also support native 4K on PS4 Pro and 1080p on PS4.
