Announced at PSX 2016, arcade classic Windjammers is coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on August 29, DotEmu has revealed. The publisher has also said that it already has plans to support the game post launch with updates and improvements.

With five different game modes, online versus modes for the first time – including trophies and leaderboards – along with several unique characters and environments, Windjammers is poised to be 2017’s breakout arcade action hit.
DotEmu says that Windjammers’ beta significantly helped to shape the final version of the game, especially its online ranking and matchmaking system. Between June 8 and June 12, about 40,000 beta keys were distributed to players around the globe to help test the game’s multiplayer component.
