PS4 Version of Fortnite Will Feature Four Exclusive Hero Cards

We’re just days away from the July 25 release of Epic Games’ cooperative sandbox survival game Fortnite, and the developer is clarifying some details. The big news to come out of this is that the PS4 version of Fortnite will feature four exclusive heroes that’ll be repping PlayStation blue. These won’t be in any other version of the game.

Here’s how Epic Games describes the exclusive content over at the PlayStation Blog:

You get four exclusive hero cards all dressed up in their PlayStation colors! This includes one ninja, one soldier, one outlander and one constructor. You can use these cards to play directly, or use them to bolster your active hero squad. Check out the video at the top of this post to see them in action!

There’s a lot of other great information over at the PlayStation Blog about the upcoming Early Access title, including why players have to unlock what they get in the Founder’s Pack:

Founder’s Pack items are unlocked over time by playing the game. Why? As you go through the tutorial, you’ll be granted some quests that unlock at different points that make sense with game play. The majority of your items will be unlocked after the Loot Llama tutorial event. There are a few exceptions with some of the highest-tier packs where additional gameplay-based quests are required.

Fortnite goes into paid early access on July 25, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’ll become fully free-to-play next year.
