Monster Hunter: World’s Off-Screen Footage From SDCC Showcases Weapons

YouTube user SHAZBOT1211 has published some off-screen footage from Monster Hunter: World, showcasing the game’s weapons. The video above is from San Diego Comic-Con and although the quality understandably isn’t good, it gives you an idea of what to expect.

Reddit user crimtex offered a summary of Capcom’s panel from the event. We’re told that Monster Hunter: World‘s map will have areas with varying temperatures, which will determine what plants and animals you’ll find in specific locations. The studio also highlighted some texture improvements that include, according to crimtex, “furs/hair (on Anjanath and Felynes) as well as skin and bone structure (Rathalos wings are now translucent to light and fold realistically).”

Another user shockwave1211 mentioned that Capcom promised at least 14 new videos in the near future that’ll highlight every type of weapon. We’ll share them with our readers as soon as they’re released.

Monster Hunter: World is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. On consoles, the game is expected to release early next year.
