Max The Curse of Brotherhood PS4

Microsoft Studios Published Xbox One Title Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Coming to PS4

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood was one of the first Xbox One titles to be published by Microsoft Studios, and now it’s coming to PlayStation 4. Developer Flashbulb Games, which is the studio that Press Play employees founded after the studio was closed by Microsoft, have teamed up with publisher Wired Productions to bring their puzzle-platformer to PS4. It’ll release later this year both digitally and physically “in time for the holiday season.”

Check out the puzzle platformer’s first PlayStation 4 trailer below:

The sequel to Max and the Magic Marker, it retains the unique drawing mechanics that made the original a hit on Wii. Here’s what the game offers up:

  • Embark on this classic tale of brotherhood to rescue Max’s kid brother Felix from the grasps of the evil lord Mustacho
  • Explore a world filled to the brim with challenging physics puzzles and frantic platforming
  • Climb, fight and draw their way through deserts, lantern-lit bogs, ancient temples and lush-green-forests
  • Raise great pillars of dirt from the ground to reach new heights, grow trees to make bridges and create swinging vines to cross gaping chasms

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be able to finally bring the Flashbulb team’s endearing platform puzzler to the PS4 platform,” said Wired Productions’ Managing Director Leo Zullo. “It’s a magical game with gorgeous visuals that effortlessly combines charming old school platforming action with cunningly-designed puzzle elements. In short, we can’t wait to bring Max to a whole new host of gamers!”

We’ll have more on Max and the Curse of Brotherhood as its 2017 release date approaches.
