Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid Guide – Enter the Leviathan

Beginning Path/Entrance

Walk forward and be sure not to shoot the Cabal. If you do, you’ll be in for a rough fight. Leave them alone, and they won’t bother to attack. Make your way up the ramps that zigzag to the top of the palace before you and enter the massive front doors. Weave through the hallways until you come to the hub chamber.

Hub Chamber/Castellum

The Leviathan Raid is unique in that it is not a linear path. Each of the four primary challenges takes place in a room off of this main entry hall, so you’ll be coming back here and completing the challenge here four times during the course of the Raid. There are secret passages in the labyrinthine tunnels that snake through the underbelly of the ship, allowing you to bypass this encounter if you wish. My team has found that as of right now, completing this entry hall encounter each time is easier than navigating the confusing maze beneath our feet.

Encounter: The goal here is to bring three Standards to the door that needs to be unlocked. The Standards are located at each of the other doors (designated by the four symbols in this Raid), and will only materialize once a Standard Bearer Cabal has been killed at that door. The Standards will be stolen after they are collected by Standard Liberators, so the door attempting to be unlocked needs to be defended.

Occasionally you will see a notification in the bottom left of the screen saying a Councilor has appeared. The Councilor is a Scion in a clear bubble that will cause the Standard Liberators to be immune to damage. The Councilor can only be killed by being inside the bubble, but a single melee attack will end them. Once all three Standards are in place (one from each other door), the door will unlock and you can progress.

The first doorway to unlock will be the Sun door to the left after you the enter the hub area.

Strategy: Have four players stand on the plate and stay to defend against the Standard Liberators. Two people will go to take the Standards from the Standard Bearers. When the encounter starts, a projection will appear at the defense point showing which of the symbols the next Standard Bearer will appear at. Once he is dead, have one player pick up the Standard and run it back while the other player moves to the next door to wait for the Standard Bearer. Once the Standard is placed, communicate what symbol the next projection shows.

When the Councilor appears, the defending players must kill him quickly by running inside his bubble and attacking him. If they don’t, they risk losing a Standard to an immune Standard Liberator. The first priority is to kill Standard Liberators. No other Cabal enemies can steal the Standard.

As soon as the third Standard is placed, the door nearest the defense point will open. You can collect rewards from the chest and proceed to the next encounter.
