Injustice 2 update

Watch Injustice 2 Raiden Gameplay Before the DLC Releases in October

With Black Manta already available, the next DLC character to join Injustice 2‘s roster will be Mortal Kombat‘s Raiden. While he doesn’t arrive until this October, players can get a good look at him in action by watching the newly released trailer for NetherRealm’s latest fighting game. This isn’t the first time that Injustice and Mortal Kombat have crossed over, as Scorpion was a DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us and there was of course the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

Here’s how Warner Bros. described the first DLC pack of fighters when it was initially announced:

[We’ve announced] the next three DLC characters for Injustice 2 – Black Manta, Raiden, and Hellboy – that will make up the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack #2. Fighter Pack #2 will be available for purchase beginning September 12, 2017, and the first character will be available for early access the same day. Players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack, or the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack #2 will have early access to each of the three new fighters from the DCDark Horse and Mortal Kombat universes before they are available a la carte.

For more on Injustice 2, make sure to check out our review. Here’s what reviewer Paulmichael Contreras had to say:

Injustice 2 may have the best single-player campaign of any fighting game. NetherRealm has hit a solid groove with their fighting games. A few new blocking mechanics help to add a touch more balance to the game’s environmental damage options, and the loot system is second to none. Microtransactions are always a tricky issue with any game, but by sticking to cosmetic items, purchases using additional cash aren’t necessary in order to get full enjoyment out of the game. Fighting game and DC fans alike should add this game to their collection as soon as possible.

Injustice 2 is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
