Nioh Update 1.21

Nioh is Getting a Complete Edition in Japan Later This Year

Koei Temco announced during Tokyo Game Show 2017 that it’ll be releasing Nioh Complete Edition in Japan digitally on November 7, and physically on December 7 this year. Both versions will be priced at 5,800 yen.

The package includes the base game and all three DLC packs: Dragon of the North, Defiant Honor, and Bloodshed (releasing September 26).

As reported by Gematsu, the physical version will come with an original soundtrack CD and a strategy guide containing artwork. The digital edition will include five original weapons.

Here are brief descriptions of all three add-ons:

Dragon of the North follows William’s valiant struggle in the main game and opens up the Oshu region, where ambitious ruler Masamune Date is secretly gathering spirit stones.

Encounter fearsome enemies and allies across three distinct stages, and develop William’s combat skills further with powerful new Ninjutsu, Onmyo magic and Guardian Spirits. Plus, discover legendary armour sets and weapons, including the Odachi great katana.

Defiant Honor continues William’s journey, pitting him and the recently allied Masamune Date against the Crimson Demon of War himself, Sanada Yukimura.

Prove yourself in this fierce battle for the ages using new Guardian Spirits, Onmyo magic, Divine armour and a new weapon class – the deadly Tonfa. Plus, for Nioh veterans – take on a whole new difficulty mode worthy of a true Samurai master.

Bloodshed picks up after Defiant Honor. The Siege of Osaka’s winter campaign was put to an end by a peace negotiation between Toyotomi and Tokugawa.

However, conditions were harsh as Osaka Castle lost its secondary and tertiary enclosures, as well as its inner and outer moats, leaving just the main enclosure for the defeated.

Inevitably, this situation led to an uprising and another war broke out just months after the winter campaign. This is the final phase of the Sengoku-era, and the end of William’s journey.

A Western release for Nioh Complete Edition has yet to be announced but we’ll keep our readers posted.
