Street Fighter V Arcade Mode Allegedly Shown in Leaked Video

Known dataminer and leaker X-Kira has uploaded a video to their YouTube channel that appears to show Street Fighter V arcade mode. This addition has been rumored for quite some time, and it looks to add in several minigames (car crush is back!). Interestingly, it also looks to add in a boss form of Necalli.

This leak comes after a UK retailer listed Street Fighter V Arcade Edition on their website:

UK Retailer ShopTo has a listing for Street Fighter V Arcade Edition on their website. This is far from an official confirmation, as it uses an old box-art and description for the rumored PS4 title, but where there’s smoke there usually is fire. The listing says it’ll release January 16, 2018 for £39.99.

It’s unlikely that this would be a sequel to Street Fighter V as Capcom has stressed heavily that they are treating the fighting game as a platform. With that in mind, it would make sense if Street Fighter V Arcade Edition came with some of the already released DLC (the game is on its second season of DLC fighters after all), and was paired up with a new update that was free to players. An Arcade Edition update has been rumored in recent months, with the update reportedly bringing an arcade mode to the fighter after being heavily criticized for not having one at launch.

Street Fighter V is available now on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Are you excited about a Street Fighter V arcade mode finally being added into Capcom’s fighter, or is it simply coming too late in the game’s lifespan to be of value? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
