Destiny 2 Xur Location and Inventory Guide for September 29-October 2, 2017

It’s Friday, which means that it’s time for our Destiny 2 Xur location and inventory guide. Unlike Destiny 1, where Xur was always present in a social space, the mysterious vendor can now be found out in the exploration zones. His currency is Legendary Shards, which can be obtained by breaking down legendary and exotic gear. Xur now stays from reset Friday morning until the weekly reset on Tuesday, so no more worrying about getting to him within a 48 hour window.

This week, Xur is on Io. Fast travel to Giant’s Scar and head left after going through the Cabal building ahead to find Xur. You can mark his location on your map. This week, Xur is selling the Riskrunner submachine gun for 29 shards. The Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves Hunter gloves are available for 23 shards. You can get the Hallowfire Heart Titan chest armor for 23 shards. And finally, the Transversive Steps Warlock boots for 23 shards.

The Riskrunner submachine gun is one of the exotics that you are able to choose during the story, so you may already have your hands on it. Whenever you take any arc damage, the gun’s power increases as well as chaining the lightning to nearby enemies and returning ammo to the magazine. In some instances this can provide near infinite ammo with increased damage output, especially great for taking on Fallen enemies who have arc attacks and on Nessus, where the radiolarian fluid causes arc damage by standing in it. I would highly recommend picking this one up if you don’t have it.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves will increase the sidearm ready and reload speed for Hunters. For a weapon type that is already very fast to reload, aim and switch to, these gauntlets will really make sure you always have a gun at the ready. Try using these while running a sidearm in both your kinetic and energy weapon slots to really get the full effect.

The Hallowfire Hear is a great piece of chest armor that increases solar abilities while the Titan’s Hammer of Sol super is fully charged. If you’re the type to hold your super for bigger moments, this is an exotic you ought to have. While it does require a specific subclass and need super fully charged, it’s a powerful piece of armor for the punchy, grenade-loving solar Titans out there. Try this exotic when the Nightfall modifier is Torrent to instantly get your grenade back.

Transversive Steps are back from Destiny 1, allowing Warlocks to have increases movement speed while sprinting, along with reloading energy weapons when they do. These boots can be a powerful ally both in PvE and PvP, as keeping on the move and using an energy weapon means you’ll rarely have to reload.

In other Destiny 2 news, Bungie detailed the fixes that will be coming to update 1.0.3.1 next week, as well as offered some potential solutions to missing Raid keys. We’ve also got a series of Destiny 2 guides, including an endgame guide for after the campaign, a step-by-step Raid guide, and a guide on how to trigger all heroic public events.

Don’t forget that we’re running a giveaway for the Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition right now!
