Fortnite Battle Royale Update Adds Duos, Crosses Seven Million Players Milestone

Epic Games announced today that a new Fortnite Battle Royale update adds Duos and Supply Drops to the popular free-to-play title. That’s not all, as they also announced that over seven million players have played their shooter. Check out their thank you to fans below.

Here’s the full announcement about the latest Fortnite Battle Royale update:

DUOS

Duos will release in most regions with this release. We want to make sure that adding a new playlist doesn’t make the experience less enjoyable so stay tuned for more updates on the status of Duos in your region.

Bring a friend and let the duos begin!

SUPPLY DROPS

Supply Drops are back! ! We tried once, but couldn’t quite stick the landing. We fixed those issues and we’re excited for them to return.

Supply Drops are more likely to contain rare weapons and items that you want in a pinch. They’re also a hot zone for attention, so planning how to grab one is important. Watch the skies for those supplies.

A new game mode was also added to Fortnite, check out more information on Fortnite Horde Bash:

The Epic Games team has been amazing at keeping interesting events active constantly in Fortnite. As the Survive the Storm event winds down–in addition to the PvP Battle Royale mode having just launched–Epic is teasing what’s coming next. Survive the Storm will be ending on October 2 at 2 AM EDT, but the Fortnite Horde Bash update will be quickly replacing it. Posting on their blog, Epic threw out some hints for what players can expect, which going by the title and feature bullet “hordes of husks,” seems like a horde mode to me.

Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
