Assassin’s Creed Origins File Size Revealed

According to a recent listing on the Xbox Store, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins will be a fairly sizable download for players.

By venturing over to the official Xbox Store, you can see that the game is being listed at approximately 42.3 gigabytes, which would make for quite the hefty download for fans of digital games. While this might sound like a lot on its face, its not that crazy in the grand scheme of things, as games that have launched prior to Origins have been much bigger.

For those who might have missed it, make sure to check out our latest preview on the upcoming game:

The demo ended there, but I want to touch on just how beautiful Assassin’s Creed Origins looks. This is not only due to the gorgeous Egyptian setting, which features a natural beauty in its architecture, but also due to Ubisoft creating a wonderful living world. From rowing a boat to walking through the city of Memphis, I was constantly wowed by what I was looking at. It’s one of the most gorgeous games I’ve played, and really shined in 4K.

Historically, I’ve never been the biggest Assassin’s Creed fan (I do love Black Flag, though). Despite this, Origins seems to be fixing a lot of the issues I’ve had with the games in the past (including clunky combat). Thanks to its gorgeous setting, I’m looking forward to seeing how its story of ancient politics will unravel when it releases October 27, 2017.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is available on October 27 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
