Latest Street Fighter V Leak Reveals Possible Fighter ID Change as Well as Map Variants

A recent dateline of the files within Street Fighter V has revealed a ton of new information, most importantly that players might be able to change their Fighter ID and that a handful of maps will likely be receiving stage variations at some point in the game’s future.

According to the dateline by user X-Kira, Union Station, Hillside Plaza, Lair of the Four Kings, and Apprentice Alley will be receiving stage variations, with the variations removing several background NPCs along with minor alterations to the battlefield. Though the variations only seemed to exist in the game’s cinematic Story Mode, they might be making their way to the in-game shop for purchase at some time.

X-Kira also noted that other DLC maps might have variations in their future, including night versions, afternoon variants, and other gimmicks. Also included in the datamining video (below) is the fact that Capcom might finally be allowing users to change their Fighter ID. For those who don’t know, Fighter ID’s are set once and then permanently tied to your in-game CFN profile. If those can be changed, it would likely make most of the Street Fighter fanbase pretty excited. You can check out the full video from X-Kira below:
