Take a Look at the Brand New Game Mode Coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Last week, we got word of that new content was coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in the form of a new game mode and characters. Now, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer showcasing some of the newly announced Hero Colosseum game mode and what it entails.

As described last week, Hero Colosseum will be its own story mode that allows players to fight via a “tactical figurine battle.” At the time, we didn’t really know what that meant, but now we can see that it’s essentially like any other figuring battle game on the market. You move your figures along the board and take turns fighting opponents, and also seem to be able to collect and open capsules to unlock newer, higher level figurines.

The interesting dynamic in Xenoverse 2 seems to be that when your figurines battle, it transports them into a stage where they fight on their own, which certainly looks better than just two figurines shaking back and forth on a board. Hero Colosseum will be available for free this coming Autumn for all versions of the game. For more on what’s coming with the future DLC, check out below:

  • Extra Pack 1 available this Autumn will include Tapion, Android 13 and 2 new characters.
  • Extra Pack 2 will contain a new original character, a new scenario and a new way to interact with Dragon Ball characters. On top of that, players may also discover an all new form Goku in the Extra Pack 2. More details to be revealed, stay tuned!
