The Latest Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite DLC Adds Venom and Two Other Characters, Coming Early December

Capcom has revealed today that three new characters will be making their way to the world of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The upcoming DLC characters are the long awaited Venom, Black Widow, and Winter Soldier, and they’ll be releasing to the game on December 5, so you won’t have much longer to wait it out.

The reveal trailer for the trio (above) gives players a good glimpse as to what they can expect when it comes to playing as the characters. Per Capcom (via the PlayStation Blog), Winter Soldier excels at ground combat using special moves that can send opponents flying across the screen. He also comes equipped with projectiles that can bounce off the walls and floor, as well as a metal shield that allows him to take attacks with no damage.

Natasha Romanova – also known as Black Widow – is an acrobatic character that can jump in mid-air and follow it up with a variety of tricky projectiles. She’s also gifted with her electric batons and can utilize them in close combat scenarios against opponents.

Eddie Brock, the host body for the symbiote known as Venom, is perhaps the most unique of the three new characters. Billed as a “frightening force on the battlefield,” Venom has the ability to shapeshifter and can launch himself across all angles of the screen to better attack his opponent. He’ll be someone you want to keep an eye on soft rusher.

Everyone who already has the 2017 Character Pass will unlock access to the three characters on December 5. Each character is also able to be purchased individually as well. For those that have yet to pick up the game but are wanting to try out, there will be a free demo weekend exclusively on the PS4 starting on November 24 at 8:00am PST and ending on November 27 at 8:00am PST. The demo will include all 30 launch characters, allowing you to try out various heroes before finding one to settle on.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is available now.
