“Player investment has been core to the success of the game with longevity being always very important to us. As the game progressed, we continued to develop it with the community in mind,” said Alexandre Remy, Brand Director, Rainbow Six Siege. “We’re thrilled to see that the community has embraced the game, brought along their friends, and really pushed our understanding of what’s possible with what we’ve created” 25 million registered players is a lot, and Ubisoft to continue supporting them, as they recently announced Year 3 of Rainbow Six Siege was coming, and including the following:

  • 8 new operators from the world’s highly performing CTUs
  • 2 brand new maps set in Italy and Morocco
  • 1 existing map make over with a new level design and art direction

In case you missed it, the final season of Year Two of Rainbow Six Siege, Operation White Noise, was recently released, alongside a new map called Mok Myeok Tower. More on that map below:

At the break of dawn, the city awakens in a haze of untold dreams and routines to follow. Cars flow through the grid, halting now and then at the mercy of traffic. Soft morning light reflects off the windows on modern buildings, all designed to expectation and made tall by collective ambition. Snowflakes flutter down on the bustling metropolis. It’s business as usual until day turns into night when the streets take on their second identity and neon colors emerge from stacked billboard ads. A helicopter surveys the area, free from the restraints of the grid, rising above office buildings of tech giants. It finds the highest helipad on the tallest tower. Somewhere inside the tower, a breaching charge detonates.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is available now.
