Legacy Legrand Coming to the PlayStation 4 in Q1 2019

Publisher Another Indie and developers SEMISOFT have announced that Legrand Legacy, the game that bills itself as a “nostalgic love letter to classic JRPGS,” will launch for the PlayStation 4 in Q1 of 2019, with a PC release coming next month. While the game may a ways away from launch, you can still check out a trailer for the title below.

The game centers around Finn, a gladiator who was freed from slavery and then embarks on a journey to save his emancipator’s daughter. This leads him to finding a prophecy and another quest: to protect the world from the second coming of a fierce conflict that could destroy the world.

“Legrand Legacy is packed with callbacks to classic JRPGs, from the modern take on original PlayStation style graphics to music, gameplay and mini-games,” says Iain Garner, Director of Developer Relations, Another Indie. “Most importantly, the story is the kind of epic RPG fans crave.”

According to the developers of the game, players are able to craft weapons and unlock new magic abilities in order to exploit enemies’ weaknesses and get stronger as you fight on. Finn can also recruit citizens into his party, upgrade his headquarters, and upgrade his abilities by recruiting more people to his cause. For more on Legrand Legacy, check out below:

In the war-torn land of Legrand, a slave named Finn will rise from humble roots to possibly becoming a savior. After Finn exhibits powers beyond his control in the gladiator arena, an old man buys his freedom. Together they journey to save the man’s daughter, which leads them to a prophecy and a greater quest: to save Legrand from the second coming of a conflict that nearly destroyed the world in times long past.

Legrand Legacy is set to launch for the Playstation 4 in Q1 2019.
