The Predator Comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands Tomorrow, More Details on the Mode Emerge

Yesterday, a surprising video popped up on the Ubisoft Youtube, teasing an upcoming event in Ghost Recon Wildlands that is set to feature the iconic monster known as the Predator. Now, Ubisoft has not only confirmed the event will star the monster, but we’ve received another trailer for the event.

Over at the Ubisoft blog, Chris Watters – the Associate Communications Manager for Ubisoft – revealed the event to be a free DLC event that begins tomorrow and lasts through early January. In the event, players will be to play solo or with up to four 4 players in co-op as they try to hunt down the creature while also being hunted themselves. While taking down the Predator is no easy task, players will be rewarded with exclusive items if they’re able to do it, including the Predator mask – complete with Predator vision – as well as some other gear.

Alongside the Predator event, Ghost War, the PvP mode for Ghost Recon Wildlands, will also get a Predator-inspired addition: a brand new class of soldier inspired by Dutch, the protagonist from the original movie. This soldier will be able to engage in a battle rage mode to help lead his team to victory.

“At Ubisoft Paris, we have been fans of the Predator for a long time and are thrilled to bring such an iconic character to our game” said Nouredine Abboud, senior producer at Ubisoft. “The challenge is full of references to the original Predator movie, and we cannot wait to see the reaction of our players!” For more information on the upcoming event, and what it took to get the Predator into a game like Ghost Recon Wildlands, make sure to head over to the Ubisoft blog and check out their interview with About.
