Gundam Versus Will Finally Add Burning and Master Gundam in January 2018

When Gundam Versus was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 by Bandai Namco first in Japan on July 6 and the rest of the world on September 29, it started with a roster of 94 playable mobile suits. Since then, it has been regularly adding more MS through paid DLC every month. And by the end of 2017, they have added 21 DLC mobile suits, bringing the grand total to 115 if one purchased every single of them.

You may have been thinking, is that all for the DLC additions? Why didn’t they have anyone from Mobile Fighter G Gundam? Fret no longer, because Bandai Namco has announced that they still haven’t run out of steam yet for Gundam Versus in 2018, and the first DLC mobile suits to be added in the new year will be coming exactly from G Gundam!

Gundam Versus Burning Gundam DLC

First up is the famous GF13-017NJII Burning Gundam (originally known as God Gundam) piloted by the protagonist Domon Kasshu. As expected, it will be a heavily melee-oriented fighter, although it can also shoot vulcans as the sub ranged weapon. Of course, it will be able to launch its signature attack, the Erupting Burning Finger. And for the Burst attack, it can launch either a flurry of punches or the ultimate Sekiha Love Love Tenkyoken.

Domon’s master and archrival Tohofuhai Master Asia will also appear with his GF13-001NHII Master Gundam. Unlike the Burning Gundam, Master Gundam has more range coverage as it uses Darkness Shot as its main ranged attack, and for the special ranged attack, it creates multiple miniatures that will swarm the enemy. Master Gundam’s Burst Attack will have Master Asia perform the signature attack Choukyuu Haou Den’eidan together with Domon.

Burning Gundam and Master Gundam will be sold separately, and both of them have the highest in-game cost of 500. Purchasing the Burning Gundam DLC will give 2 additional BGMs; one of them being the theme song Flying in the Sky. Likewise, one of the BGMs added from purchasing the Master Gundam DLC will be Trust You Forever.

Gundam Versus Navigator Fumitan Admoss

In the midst of the endless waves of paid DLC, however, Bandai Namco is also going to slip in a free DLC pack tomorrow on December 22 that will add three battle navigators from the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. They are Orga Itsuka, Fumitan Admoss (pictured above), and Atra Mixta. If you own Gundam Versus, be sure to grab this DLC pack as it doesn’t require even a penny.
