Latest Catherine: Full Body Trailer Shows Off More Gameplay

When Atlus announced that it was bringing an enhanced port of Catherine to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, it was a surprising twist for fans. Now, a brand trailer has been released for the upcoming release, and while most of it will remind fans of the original, Atlus is also teasing a brand new scenario to go along with the port.

As you can tell from the trailer, instead of the traditional love triangle that fans are accustomed to, a new heroine – Rin – has joined the fray, and adds another girl that will undoubtedly fight for Vincent’s affection. The updated version of Catherine is currently set to launch in North America and Europe in 2019, but in the meantime, let us know below what you think of the addition of a new heroine into the game.

For more on the Catherine series, make sure to check our review of the original title, which featured a mix of a great narrative and unique puzzles:

Catherine is a great narrative with a unique blend of puzzle and simulation. It’s a shame that the simulation sections didn’t play a larger role in the experience, as they feel like the reward for completing the repetitive and frustrating puzzle sequences that make up the bulk of gameplay. There’s nothing quite like Catherine, and although the story is forced to stand on its own two legs, it’s able to do a good job of dragging you through the forgettable puzzles. There are several incentives to play more than once, such as multiple endings, and Rapunzel is an outstanding addition. If nothing else, Catherine is a trip through an intriguing tale full of strange surprises and characters that’s only hindered by its forgettable gameplay.

Catherine: Full Body is currently set to launch sometime in 2019.
