Granblue Fantasy Project Re Link details

Granblue Fantasy Project Re:Link Details to Be Revealed This December

Earlier this year, we reported on the six-minute Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link gameplay trailer that Cygames and PlatinumGames released. The trailer showed off gorgeous visuals and the expected, frenetic combat that PlatinumGames is known for, but not many details were given. We learned that the game will support four-player co-op – “Dengeki was able to learn that the game will support four-person multiplayer, and that when players are playing alone, the other three characters in the game will be controlled by AI.” – but that was really about it. Now, according to DualShockers, Cygames has announced during a livestream that we’ll hear more about Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link this December.

As stated in DualShockers’ report, “More information (including the official title) will be sharted at the Cygames Fes even, which will be hosted at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, near Tokyo, on December 15th and December 16th.” Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link is an action-JRPG being developed by Cygames in collaboration with PlatinumGames. (Apparently, “Some Cygames and CyDesignation staff are being stationed at [PlatinumGames] to help work on the graphics for the game.”) The game is based on the popular mobile JRPG Granblue Fantasy, but it’s unclear whether it will follow the same storyline. However, as reported by DualShockers, “It will feature part of the mobile game’s cast like Katalina, lo, Rackham, and Percival.”

The game was originally pegged for a 2018 release date, but it seems the project has grown too ambitious. Neither Cygames nor PlatinumGames have revealed the new release date as of yet, but Granblue Fantasy Project Re: Link is currently in development for PlayStation 4.
