Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Will Be Similar to Bloodborne and Dark Souls III in Terms of Scope and Size

FromSoftware’s promotions and communications manager, Yasuhiro Kitao, has revealed that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be similar to Bloodborne and Dark Souls III in terms of development scope and size.

Speaking to VG247 via a translator during gamescom 2018, Kitao said that the studio is unable to quantify the game’s play time and content volume but that it’s “probably not going to be too different” from the aforementioned titles.

“Play time is very nebulous, it varies from player to player with our old titles as well,” explained Kitao. “Again with this game, in terms of development scope and what we’re trying to create in terms of the world and variety – it’s not going to differ too much.”

Kitao recently said that FromSoftware is putting the Dark Souls franchise to eternal rest but if you have yet to experience the trilogy, you can grab a compilation in October 2018 provided you live in the USA. However, those outside the region need not worry as they have the option of creating an alternative US account on the PlayStation 4 to purchase the game digitally.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will release globally on March 22, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
