Horizon Forbidden West Is Packed With Activities

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla Games have released a brand-new trailer for Horizon Forbidden West, showcasing the game’s side activities. From the looks of it, the game will be chock-full of things to do, should you want to veer off the main path. We’re talking melee pits, contracts, outposts and camps, hunting grounds, exploring ruins and cauldrons, and much more.

Horizon Forbidden West activities have been improved

Guerrilla Games previously said that it learned a lot from Horizon Zero Dawn and made every effort to improve Horizon Forbidden West. Side quests, activities, and challenges are just some of the things that have been improved. Over on the PlayStation Blog, the studio said that there’s a lot more to see than what’s being showcased here. Without further ado, take a look:

Horizon Forbidden West seems to have a new type of challenge that involves Aloy jumping into an arena and going up against deadly foes gladiator-style. Guerrilla teased that players better equip themselves appropriately for the wilds and very briefly showed an in-game merchant.

“When Aloy explores the frontier of the Forbidden West on February 18, she’ll discover a huge variety of exciting things to do,” Guerrilla wrote. “But keep in mind that the Forbidden West is a huge and dangerous place, with far more secrets and adventures than we can reveal here today!”

While Horizon Forbidden West’s main campaign will be roughly the same length as its predecessor, those who want to do everything the game has to offer will be busy for quite a while.

In other news, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s relatively lower sales have apparently impacted Warzone’s player count, and Nintendo has said that it has no plans to spend any money on mergers and acquisitions like its counterparts because its first-party titles do well enough in the market.
