Back when the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn beta was originally announced, we were told that PlayStation 3 owners would have to wait until Phase 3 of 4 before they could test out the game. Now that Phase 2 has begun on PC, Square Enix has revealed that the PS3 beta is going to begin “later this summer.”
Clearly that isn’t as narrowed down a date as people would like, but at the very least, it does give you a window of when you can expect it. This also tells us that we probably won’t be seeing the final retail version until the fall, possibly even near the launch of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
