Shuhei: PS4/PS Vita Remote Play Requires You to Be Signed Into the Same PSN Account on Both Systems

We’ve detailed PS4/PS Vita Remote Play quite a bit recently, letting you know how it isn’t 3G compatible, the internet isn’t required for local Remote Play after the initial registration, and what Killzone: Shadow Fall looks like on Vita.

For a little bit more information, Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that you will need to be signed into the same PSN account on PS4 and PS Vita when using Remote Play.

He also talked about how you can’t use the DualShock 4 on your Vita during Remote Play, Sharing and livestreaming won’t be functional at the same time during Remote Play, and only games will be supported in Remote Play, not Apps.

To anyone who was still wondering how Remote Play works on a secondary PS4 (as opposed to your ‘Primary’), Shuhei answered:

It does not matter if it is primary, both consoles just need to have the same PSN account and registered.
