inFamous: Second Son “Can Run at Full 1080p, 30fps Rock Solid”, Says Sucker Punch

Before PS4 All Access started last night, Sony’s Sid Shuman took part in a pre-show, where we heard from Chris Zimmerman, Development Director on inFamous: Second Son.

After talking about how “the game, the controls, the characters have all been re-worked to not require any knowledge of inFamous 1 and 2,” he continued:

The PS4, for us, it’s been great. We can run at full 1080p, 30 frames [per] second rock solid, and just throw tons and tons of triangles, and tons of pixels, and tons of particles at the screen, it’s just amazing. It’s actually been a surprise that it’s been as easy for us to get the game to run as fast as it does and to look as spectacular as it does.

Zimmerman added:

The DualShock 4 is awesome. The new controller is spectacular – it’s the best video game controller ever. And they’ve done a great job on the actual mechanics and electronics in the controller – it’s much more precise, it’s much quicker. That adds a feeling of tightness to the game. There’s less of a lag between you thinking you want to do something and you actually seeing the character do it. It’s just awesome.

inFamous: Second Son releases for the PlayStation 4 on March 21st, 2014.
