With the PlayStation Store update today, Destiny has become available for pre-order on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. In the United States, Destiny is $59.99 on both systems, while Canadians can expect to pay $69.99 for either version.
Since Destiny releases on September 9th, the product listing on the PlayStation Store confirms that you’ll be able to play the game starting at 12AM PST/3AM EST on that day for either system. With the PlayStation 4 now allowing for pre-loads before launch, you’ll be able to pre-load Destiny at some point before the 9th of September.
By pre-ordering the digital version of Destiny, you don’t have to worry about missing out on the beta – set to start in July – with the listing saying, “Be sure to register at Bungie.net and Join Up (New Users) or Sign In (Existing Users) to link your PSN ID and Bungie to ensure you’re notified of Beta details & timing and all things Destiny!”
Although PlayStation has been incorrect with resolutions lately, they do say Destiny on PS4 is 1080p, while the PS3 version is 720p.
