Console Owners Should Be Able to Tweak Graphics Settings Like PC Players, Says Project Cars Dev

Project Cars‘ Creative Director, Andy Tudor, has said that console owners should be able to tweak graphics and other settings in their games like PC players. In an interview with GameSpot, Tudor explained why Project Cars will offer console owners control over visual effects

Console owners should have just as much right to tailor their game to their particular preferences as PC players, whether that’s authenticity, visual options, how the camera reacts, accessibility etc.

The racing genre is pretty mature at this point and many console racing fans are therefore eager for this kind of additional depth, plus the racing genre is also very broad meaning this kind of personalization will allow fans of both traditional racing games on consoles and veteran PC sim racing titles to feel right at home.

Project Cars includes a Visual FX settings menu (pictured in the gallery below) that allows players to tweak post-processing filters, lens flare, and more.

Project Cars will release on May 7 in Europe, May 8 in the UK, and May 12 in North America for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In the meantime, check out PlayStation LifeStyle’s recent interview with Andy Tudor here.
