One of your main characters you get to use in the game is a female knight named Chris Lightfellow. This lady is a complete badass and doesn't need a man to fight her battles! She also commands a pretty tough group of knights, so look out.
So it doesn't show it in the image but the game has 108 characters to recruit and then it has so many more than that to interact with. It's really ridiculous just how many characters they wrote into the game. Might actually explain why we have yet to see Suikoden VI.. Games today just don't have this many characters.
How many other games do you know that let you see one story from three different points of view? It's such a great feature and really gives the story so much more depth. I honestly don't know why everybody else doesn't do this. Oh, and did I mention there are also 3 side stories included??
Come on... Hugo's two best friends are a duck named Sgt. Joe and a Griffon named Fubar that can understand what you are saying. You can't get any cooler than that!
Sure, a lot of people will sit there and tell you how much better it is in Suikoden 1 or 2, but me personally, i loved the combat in 3. It grouped your 6 people into pairs. This forced players into a bit more strategy with their group selection.
Hands down my favorite bad guys of all time. Luc sported this awesome mask early on while Yuber was just an evil SOB that wanted to hurt everything. It also helps that they are joined by Sarah and Albert Silverberg, creating a really well oiled evil machine.
I wanted a flashy headline for this one but stuck with a more simplistic one. Army battles are probably one of the best parts about Suikoden III.
Ok, so an opening movie isn't really reason enough to buy and play a game, but I had to add it in here.. It's that good.
