Street Fighter V Beta Taken Offline For “Extended Maintenance,” No ETA for Return Yet

After going live last night on PlayStation 4, the Street Fighter V beta encountered numerous issues, with Capcom taking the servers down for maintenance throughout the night and early morning.

In the most recent update to the SFV beta status, Capcom revealed at 7am PT/10am ET that the beta is offline for extended maintenance:

We apologize for the ongoing issues that users have been experiencing with the SFV beta test. In order to allow us to fix the issues as quickly as possible, we are going to initiate a period of extended maintenance, during which time the beta will be unavailable to all users.

We will let you know the date on which the closed beta test will re-open once all problems have been fixed. We sincerely apologize for having to bring this unfortunate news to you. Thank you for your patience. Please stay tuned for further updates.

We’ll continue to monitor the beta’s status and will update this post with any news today.

Because of the server issues, the Street Fighter Twitter account confirmed last night that “we will be extending the beta to make up for lost time.”

Were you able to play any matches before the beta went offline for maintenance?
