Added to the PlayStation 4’s home screen with firmware update 3.00, the Events app “lets you join players in the latest online multiplayer challenges and tournaments, and invites you to tune in to special gameplay broadcasts,” PlayStation Europe explained.
In the patch notes for update 3.00, the Events app is described as a place where “all events associated with PlayStation are now brought together, enabling you to discover, participate, and watch these events in a centralized area.”

- FIFA 16 ‘Team of the Week’ (until October 7)
- Project Cars ‘Nürburgring GT3 Contest’ (October 2 – 10)
- Hardware Rivals Beta ‘4 Wheels Only’ (October 2 – 3)
- DriveClub ‘Double Fame’ (October 2 – 5)
- Warframe ‘Project Undermine’ (October 2 – 5)
- Battle Islands ‘World War Weekend’ (October 2 – 9)
- F1 2015 ‘Sodi Autodrom’ (October 5 – 14)
- Magicka 2 ‘Grilled Cheese’ (October 3 – 11)
- War Thunder ‘100’ (October 2 – 5)
More Events will be added to the app in the coming days, weeks, and months.
If you’ve updated to 3.00, be sure not to create a Favorite Group.
