Report: Tekken 7 Getting Released on Consoles in 2016 (Update)

Update:

Over on Twitter, Tekken game designer Michael Murray debunked what Fraile has said and mentioned it was taken out of content and how he was misquoted.

Granted, that doesn’t mean that Tekken 7 on consoles won’t hit next year, but as of now, we don’t know for sure.

[Thanks for the update, NeoGAF]

Original Story:

While Tekken 7 has been playable in Japanese arcades since March of this year, it seems the console ports of the fighting game will be out next year.

Spanish site Koi Nya mentions that local Bandai Namco Manager David Fraile revealed that fans can expect a western console launch in 2016 at Madrid Games Week. No specific date or even quarter was mentioned, so it can be from January to December.

And of course, there’s the chance that Fraile gave out erroneous info as well. We’ll keep you posted if and when we get a more concrete Tekken 7 console release date.
