After reading reports of a The Witcher movie last year, it’s good to finally hear about it again!
The new movie, planned even before the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be based around the short stories “The Witcher” and “Lesser Evil,” from The Last Wish collection.
Tomasz Bagiński, who had been nominated for an Oscar for his 2002 film, The Cathedral, has been named as director. The film’s producers will be Jaroslaw Sawko, Piotr Sikora, Sean Daniel, and Jason Brown.
The 2017 film is to be the beginning of a series, which is planned to continue both on film, and on television.
