Trophy Torture: RPG Edition

In one of our recent Now Loading features, we discussed how much members of the PSLS community value trophies. Whether or not you care about the little digital rewards, though, you have to admit it’s sort of amazing what lengths some players will go to earn them. In this new feature, called “Trophy Torture,” we’ll be taking a look at the hardest of the hard — those trophies that are practically torturous to earn, but sometimes the only obstacle standing between a hardcore gamer and that sweet, sweet Platinum. It probably goes without saying, but Platinums themselves will not be included on this list; those are obviously the hardest to earn in any game, and besides, we’re talking about the trophies that make “Platting” a game an exercise in masochism.

RPG Masochism

For our first Trophy Torture subject, we’re going to look at the most brutal trophy challenges that role-playing games on PlayStation have to offer. Now, when I say “brutal,” keep in mind that the definition of difficulty here is sort of a relative thing — particularly when it comes to RPGs, it’s not necessarily that these are “hard” to get in the traditional sense of the word, but rather the grueling time commitment and/or repetition. With that out of the way, let’s get into the worst of the worst: from Final Fantasy XIII to Bloodborne, here are 10 of the most annoying trophies to snag in RPGs on PSN.

What are the most brutal RPG trophies you’ve tortured yourself getting on PSN? Let us know in the comments!
