Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Update on PS3 Addresses Numerous Multiplayer & Zombies Issues

Accompanying the release of the Awakening DLC pack for PlayStation 3 yesterday was a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 update, which addressed networking issues in Multiplayer, added ricochet damage for Care Package owners in Hardcore Modes, fixed crashes in Zombies, and much more.

Here’s the full list of patch notes for the April 5 Black Ops 3 update on PS3:

Multiplayer

General

  • Addressed multiple lobby issues.
  • Addressed multiple networking issues.
  • Addressed an issue allowing Players to infinitely vote for the previous map.
  • Fixed issue where Double Weapon XP meter did not accurately reflect the amount of XP earned after a match.
  • Fixed issue where players met would sometimes not register properly.

General Gameplay

  • Added ricochet damage for Care Package owners in Hardcore Modes.
  • Added ricochet damage for Players planting or defusing bombs in Search & Destroy in Hardcore Mode.
  • Fixed issue where Scorestreaks and AI would not get damaged by incendiary grenades.
  • In Hardcore, AI-controlled Scorestreaks will no longer count towards the kick limit.

    • Fixed an exploit where players would stand outside of the map.

    • Fixed exploits where players could use invisible collisions to their advantage.

    • Fixed exploits where players could have an advantage by reaching high ledges.

    • Fixed exploits where players could use invisible collisions to their advantage.
  • Stronghold
    • Fixed exploit where players could prone into a rock and be hidden from others.

Challenges

  • Addressed issues where the following challenges were not correctly being tracked:  
    • “Now You See Me”
    • “Run and Gun”
    • “Ghost”
    • “Blast Suppressor”
  • Addressed bug where Players were unable to earn progress towards the Chameleon camo if the Dual Wield Perk was equipped.
  • Addressed issue where the XM-53 bliss camo was not properly unlocking.

Zombies

Shadows of Evil

  • Fixed crashes that could occur while playing Shadows of Evil.
  • Fixed issue where Player could trigger the rocket shield functionality and/or GobbleGums when the scoreboard was on screen.
  • Fixed issue where Double Weapon XP meter did not accurately reflect the amount of XP earned after a match.
  • Addressed an issue where zombies would stop moving but still could attack the player.
  • Fixed zombies lacking collision with some props.

An Xbox 360 version of this update “is still being worked on.”

As Activision revealed last month, Awakening is the only post-launch DLC pack planned for PS3, meaning you’ll have to upgrade to a PS4 to play Eclipse when it launches on April 19.
