Hideki Kamiya Wants Devil May Cry 5 to Take a New Direction

Capcom Responds to Devil May Cry 5 Rumors

If Devil May Cry 5 is indeed in development, it’s not in the works over at Capcom Vancouver.

Responding to one enquiring fan via Twitter, a representative from the studio confirmed the team is firmly focused on Dead Rising 4

That’s not all that surprising, either; since the launch of Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 in 2008, British studio Ninja Theory has spun out Dante’s story in the form of divisive prequel DmC: Devil May Cry

Ninja Theory currently has its hands full with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and at least for now, the Devil May Cry series as we know it lies dormant at Capcom. And so, the jury’s still out on whether a potential DMC5 would enter production internally or, in the vein of DmC: Devil May Cry, Capcom will once again source its cult hack-and-slash series out to another studio.

What would you like to see from a potential Devil May Cry 5?
