The Elder Scrolls Online Update 1.20 Fixes Log Out Issue, Adjusts Brightness

At the end of November, The Elder Scrolls Online update 1.19 introduced HDR support to PlayStation 4. In the new update today, version 1.20, ZeniMax has fixed an issue where the game was too dark, though they note that you still might need to adjust your TV’s setting to get the optimal look.

Weighing in at 345MB, today’s update also includes log out and NPC fixes:

Miscellaneous Fixes and Improvements, Base Game Patch

General

  • Fixed an issue where you could not log out if outside of a major city, despite the logout timer reaching zero.

Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where the game was too dark after introducing HDR support. You may need to further adjust your brightness or viewing mode through your TV settings to make ESO in HDR look optimal.

Quests & Zones – Greenshade

  • Fixed an issue where a killable NPC would instantly respawn after meeting his demise.

In February 2017, ZeniMax is planning to release the free Homestead update. This will allow you to acquire and customize your own piece of real estate, choosing from thousands of decorating and furniture options. 40 unique dwellings will be available at launch, ranging from a room in an Inn to manor estates with big outdoor areas, and all homes are located in base zones (not in DLC zones).

“Homestead is open to all players and anyone who wants a home will be able to acquire one for free through an initial tutorial quest,” they add. “Requirements for purchasing most additional homes for Gold include completing the tutorial quest as well as unlocking specific achievements within the zone where they wish to acquire a home.”
