Update: Sony has removed the trailer from their channel.
Original Story: Last week, the PlayStation YouTube channel uploaded the Official Teaser Trailer for Anthem and, according to images taken by Eurogamer and VG247, it featured Xbox One X footage with PlayStation 4 controls photoshopped over the Xbox ones.
While it appears that the video has since been changed, slowing down the Anthem footage at 3:39 and 4:37 showed that, where it should say LB and RB, an L1 and R1 had been placed over-top:
It’s worth noting that, besides the title letting you know Anthem is a PS4 game, nothing in the description says what platform the footage is running on. It is identical to the Xbox One X gameplay video, and features the same “everything you are about to see was captured in-game running in real-time” text in the opening.
If EA or Sony issues a statement about the video, we’ll let you know.
Anthem releases in fall 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
