PSN Down

PSN Down and Currently Undergoing Unplanned Maintenance (Update)

Update (2:30 AM EDT):

According to reports and the PSN Status Page, things are getting back to normal, and all services have been restored. Of course, we’ll watch this and update this space if anything changes. Are you back online as well? Let us know in the comments below!

Original Story:

If you’re getting the familiar error codes WS-37432-9 or NP-35000-8 while attempting to use your PlayStation 4 online, you’re not alone. It appears that the PSN has undergone unscheduled maintenance, and users are reporting as such on sites such as Reddit.

Sony’s official PSN status page confirms the situation: “Some services are experiencing issues.” Which is a little understated, since all the services on that list are currently shown as experiencing issues. Sony’s page simply states:

You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

The problem appears to affect most, if not all regions, as we checked the US, GB, SA, and JP regions. Some gamers were able to stay connected to any in-progress online sessions, however once their match, round, or journey ended, the game promptly disconnected them. Let us know in the comments below if you’re still connected, and whereabout in the world you are.

Once we hear more or services are back up, we’ll keep you updated as services come back online.
