One of the few games on PlayStation 4 with four player splitscreen, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection features plenty of cooperative shooting fun. It's not quite Left 4 Dead in its design, but there's plenty of hordes of enemies to destroy.
Got an itch to kill some zombies? Well, boy do I have a game for you. Featuring some great analog combat, Dead Island is an entertaining romp with friends. It has some issues, and it's sort of shocking how many bugs are in the PS4 port, but as long as you're playing with friends you'll be able to laugh about them.
Want to fight off waves of enemies? Fortnite has you covered. It also has a really unique building system that adds a layer of tower-defense to the shooting. It's definitely one of the most impressive free-to-play titles on PS4.
If you want some mindless shooting with friends then Killing Floor 2 will fit the bill. It's more about strictly facing off against waves, but there's still enough twitch shooting that Left 4 Dead fans should enjoy.
If you're going to be successful in Left 4 Dead then you'll have to work as a team. The same is true in Payday 2, although players are attempting to rob banks rather than make it through zombies.
From the developer behind Left 4 Dead, Evolve is a cooperative based shooter that has four players competing against one other user that is controlling a gigantic beast. It never quite caught on like Turtle Rock had hoped, but it's still good fun as long as you can get a group of five together.
Easily the most blatant Left 4 Dead clone, Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide is basically L4D with less polish in a fantasy setting. It doesn't quite hit on all cylinders, but thankfully there's a sequel on the way that'll hopefully improve upon the formula.
Zombie Army Trilogy has players working together in order to kill hundreds of zombies. You even get to kill Hitler in it! While that's definitely cool, some sub-par shooting holds it back from being great.
