Dynasty Warriors 9 Zhao Yun - Chinese Opera costume

By making an early purchase of Dynasty Warriors 9 soon after its release date, users will be able to get a bonus Chinese Opera costume for the game’s poster boy Zhao Yun. Meanwhile, some store outlets in Japan will also have exclusively separate bonuses of Dudou costumes for some of the female characters, which you can see in the slideshow below.

If you’re interested in getting them all, do not worry as all of these costumes will be available publicly as paid DLC at a later date. It is currently unknown if these costumes will be included in the season pass though.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will also have some bonuses exclusive to digital purchases. Purchasing the digital version early will grant a bonus weapon called Black Dragon Fang Spear. There is also a Digital Deluxe edition that will come with three exclusive original weapons and a season pass, that grants buyers access to upcoming DLC of additional scenarios and weapons as they become available, along with an extra bonus of a set of materials and jewels in the game.

In the West, Dynasty Warriors 9 will be also released for Xbox One and Steam in addition to PlayStation 4. As of this writing, the North American and European branches of Koei Tecmo have not announced the release dates for each respective regions yet, but we have a hunch that they will be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
