Destiny 2 Update 1.0.7 Prepares for Curse of Osiris

This week’s Destiny 2 update doesn’t have a lot of changes on the surface, but behind the scenes it begins prepping the game for the coming of Osiris. With less than three weeks to go before Curse of Osiris launches on all platforms, along with Season Two and all of the new content and events that will bring, it makes sense that Bungie wants to start laying the groundwork right now to avoid any nasty surprises on December 5.

This update also fixes a couple of small issues and crashes, with an additional hotfix on PC that resolves errors. One of the biggest additions is the update to the Destiny 2 companion app, adding “Factions” and “Collections” to the Progress section.

Here are the Destiny 2 update 1.0.7 patch notes.

One of the most interesting things about patches like this one are what the data miners find once they’ve combed through it. We’ll keep our ears to the ground with the Destiny community to see if anything is found.

Just this week, Bungie held the first of three live streams set to reveal details about the Curse of Osiris expansion. The stream teased more about the Curse of Osiris Raid, and allowed us to finally release our playthrough of the first campaign mission. While we only showed the first mission we did manage to finish the whole campaign and provided our spoiler-free impressions of the story, location, and characters that players will encounter in Curse of Osiris.

We’ll have more hands-on impressions and coverage of Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris as we get closer to the release on December 5.
