Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer Arrives Tomorrow

Rockstar Games has been a big topic of conversation this week following, the company’s crunch controversy. But Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a launch trailer on October 18, 2018 at 10 am EST, which may serve to shift the attention back to the game, rather than Rockstar’s business practices.

This will be the third official trailer we’ve seen for Red Dead Redemption 2. The first focused on how our choices shape our experiences, while the second focused on missions. Both previous trailers were deep dives into the game, with thorough narration to contextualize the visuals, but these trailers have been getting shorter in length.

With this in mind and the fact that the next video is being labeled as a launch trailer, there’s a chance that tomorrow’s video could deviate from the established formula. Typically, launch trailers are brief sizzle reels to encompass the holistic message of the game. But with so much to do in this massive world, Rockstar has seen marketing success in slowly releasing hyper specific game information: from gun maintenance to an index of animals. So, really, it could either way.
