Starlink missing discs

Missing Discs Reported In Best Buy Copies of Starlink: Battle For Atlas

According to Games Industry, there are certain Starlink: Battle for Atlas packages within Best Buy that are missing their copies of the game’s disc. The physical edition is meant to come with a few of the game’s toys-to-life figures, as well as the game itself. Quite a few people across Resetera, Reddit, and other social media platforms have expressed similar issues regarding the missing game, detailing the box as being previously opened or missing tape. Those boxes appeared to have all figurines within, but were missing the disc.

Those affected have brought the issue up to Best Buy and exchanged their incomplete purchase for ones with the full game. Ubisoft spoke to Polygon regarding the issue, and said that they are aware and currently investigating. You can read their statement, below:

We’ve been made aware that a small amount of Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Packs have been shipped without a copy of the disc and/or cartridge included. We are currently investigating the scope of this issue and potential solutions. In the meantime, if anyone’s been affected by this issue, please tell them contact Ubisoft customer service at support.ubi.com and they will provide assistance.

Needless to say, those planning on purchasing their physical copies from Best Buy should certainly make sure the game is actually in the packaging before they leave the store.
