Medal Of Honor Trailer Confirmed As Gameplay Footage

The latest Medal of Honor debuted for the first time at this year’s VGAs, showing a fresh reboot for the franchise as it leaves the WWII setting for the first time in the franchise’s 10-year history. EA’s premier First Person Shooter controversially places players in war-torn Afghanistan as a Tier 1 Operator, a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority, who takes on missions no one else can handle. The trailer showed various areas from what seems to be Afghanistan, in what is now confirmed to be real gameplay footage.

First Teaser Video of Blue Toad Murder Files Released

Blue Toad Murder Files follows a series of dastardly deeds that occur in the quintessentially English village of Little Riddle through a series of episodic games. Last month PlayStation LifeStyle interviewed Jade Tidy, the producer of the title, about the episodes, the first of which will release on December 17th. Now, Relentless Software has released the first teaser video of the game.

Greed Corp Delayed, First Gameplay Video Released

In August, Dutch Developer W!Games announced their turn-based strategy title, Greed Corp, for the PlayStation Network. Soon after, PlayStation LifeStyle interviewed Nikki Kuppens, Game Designer at W!Games. She revealed that Greed Corp is a “game in which you have to face the consequences of harvesting resources to build your army with. On one hand you need that army to fight off your opponents, but on the other hand you need land to stand on, just like those opponents. Finding the correct balance and incorporating it into your overall strategy is what Greed Corp is about.” While the game was intitially scheduled for release last September, the title was pushed back indefinitely. Now, fresh information has given light on when the game will be released, as well as bringing new screenshots and a gameplay trailer.

Heavy Rain is a unique murder thriller from Quantic Dream, that allows players to make their own choices, and test their own limits to complete the game. The company’s CEO, and writer and director of Heavy Rain, David Cage often asked people at conventions and expos, as well as in trailers, how far they would go for someone they love, saying that the game will help them realise and answer this question. At this year’s Eurogamer Expo in London PlayStation LifeStyle managed to ask the prestigious developer the same question.

Heavy Rain Developer Believes Game Can Still Sell Despite Packed Release Window

In July it was announced that the highly anticipated Heavy Rain would be delayed past Christmas into the next year, as “it’s not ideal to release a new IP or a new genre just before Christmas”. Guillaume de Fondaumiere stated that “it’s a very crowded place to be, and certain games need more space to live their life.” However, since the delay numerous games, such as MAG, Bioshock 2 and Alpha Protocol, would all be releasing in early 2010. At this year’s Eurogamer Expo in London PlayStation LifeStyle asked David Cage, Quantic Dream’s CEO, and writer and director of Heavy Rain, about his views on the packed release window.

Sony’s Motion Controller system was announced at this year’s E3, showing true 1:1 control and camera mapping, with a mixture of the special controller and the PlayStation Eye. At the Tokyo Game Show, Sony detailed several games that would use the motion sensor, including a Resident Evil game. PlayStation Home, the PlayStation 3’s avatar based virtual community, has grown in leaps and bounds since it’s official launch nearly a year ago with a wide variety of Home spaces from various top games as well as the mysterious alternate reality game Xi. One of the most popular spaces on the online platform was the Buzz! Home space, based on Relentless Software’s award winning platform.
