Additionally, a new game in the series, Yakuza Black Panther 2, was announced for the PSP.

In a group interview session following the event, Nagoshi commented about the drama of the series, saying it would not see any major changes. However, in terms of gameplay, he said the team is trying to innovate and push new things, with the changes not being too drastic.

Nagoshi went on to say that Yakuza 5 might take longer to create than past games, due to the fact they are trying to make a new experience. He went on to admit that the he felt the announcement of the game was made a bit early and that he was not sure if the game would appear at the Tokyo Game Show. No platform or release time frame was given, so we will just have to wait and see.
