Vita/PS3 Hybrid Ruin Renamed ‘Warrior’s Lair’

Ruin, a unique game that offers the ability to play on the PS3, but switch to the Vita when on the go, has been renamed, effectively ruin-ing the awesome name it once had.

Nah, it’s really not that bad. But I don’t like Warrior’s Lair, the new name, as much as I liked the ring of Ruin. Warrior’s Lair sounds a little cheesy to me. Plus, I always feel uneasy when the word “lair” is found in the title of a PlayStation-platform exclusive. Amirite?

There was no announcement, no ordeal, just a silent name change on the us.playstation.com web page for the game. I actually stumbled upon the name change while looking for Vita games to pre-order at Amazon.com, but didn’t realize it was Ruin until I hit Google looking for information on this elusive Warrior’s Lair title I hadn’t heard of. No wonder why.

Since E3, there hasn’t been much news on neither the Vita or PS3 version of Ruin, but with the Vita’s launch impending, we expect more soon.
