PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: February 9th & 10th, 2013 – Spaced Out Edition

This week in PSLS reviews saw Chandler hand down a 9 to Dead Space 3, with Alex offering up a 6.5 to Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Perhaps proving Chandler’s power over the staff, many of us will be playing through Dead Space 3 this weekend, and you can read about who will be doing that right here:

Cameron Teague – PR Manager/Reviews Coordinator (@Cameron_PSLS)

My playlist doesn’t really seem to be changing much these days, but I guess that has something to do with nothing much coming out. Still enjoying Ni no Kuni at a rather slow pace and getting in some rounds of League of Legends when I can. I plan to also delve back into some New Little King’s Story and Persona 4 on my Vita. Maybe I might even get back to some NHL 13, something I haven’t put in my PS3 for over a month!

After nearly two full days worth of play time, I’m taking a break from Dead Space 3 this weekend. Instead I’m going to be working my way through Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time to bring you our trophy guide for it. If I do end up taking any time away from the thieving raccoon, I’ve been working my way through Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando recently and I might have to play that if I’m not entirely sick of platformers. Dead Space 3 might end up pulling me back in too…

Dan Oravasaari – Not a Fool or a Joker (@FoolsJoker)

I have been re-watching Game of Thrones, so I will hopefully make it onto the second season, while getting some work finished. Besides that, not really much new will be happening, as I still have to shoot and edit Bad Gamers for Monday, as well as reply to emails and work on a few projects.

Jason Dunning – Lead News Writer (@Jasonad21)

I only had enough time to get through the very first chapter of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time during the week, so I’ll be sitting down and (hopefully) beating the entire game this weekend, provided I don’t spend too much time trying to find all of the collectibles. If I somehow manage to get my fill of Sly Cooper, then I might give Syndicate a shot.

Jesse Meikle – News Writer (@Jesse_WM)

I feel like I’m approaching the end of DmC: Devil May Cry (I’m on the mission that begins with this locker room spoilerific cutscene). So, I intend to finish the surprisingly satisfying demon slaying simulator by Sunday at the latest. A helpful member of the PlayStation forums is also going to help teach me to tech-chase my victims in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. I’m, of course, eager to jump on anything that will make my Sweet Tooth more brutal in battle.

Then, if Catherine shows up in the mail, I’ll probably have a hard time resisting that game’s dark dramatic draw as well.

Louis Edwards – Writer (@ftwrthtx)

I hear Dead Space 3 calling, but that can only be played late at night, when all is dark and quiet. For daytime games I may have to dust off MLB 12: The Show and see about hammering away at some Home Run Derby. Ratchet & Clank just got some new maps for Full Frontal Assault, so I can have some family time by grabbing an extra controller or two and have everyone jump in.

Sebastian Moss – Always Knows Which Way is South (@SebMoss)

Still slowly chugging away with The Secret Project, then gotta go through a bunch more PSLS writer applications. Once that’s done, it’s feet up, TV on and Dead Space 3 time. I wonder if Necromorphs know how to write – probably not, but they’ll still be better than Dan…

Vivas Kaul – Writer (@VivasKaul)

I’m very eager to dismember Dead Space 3 given all the things, good and bad, that I’ve heard about it. Now if only Amazon could actually get it here before the weekend arrives. Other than that I’ve been meaning to trade-in some older games which I may use the credit from to pick up Ni no Kuni. Other than that, I’ve been planning on jumping back into Assassin’s Creed III to mop up a few things here and there.

What will you be playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
